Meet Andrew Heffernan
Andrew Heffernan, CSCS, has been a fitness professional for 20 years. His unique approach blends aspects of strength training, mobility, martial arts, endurance work, and movement training. This well-rounded blend of hard and soft techniques stimulates both brain and body, and offering an antidote to the lure of screens and sedentary living.
His diverse clientele has included many busy adults, teens, older clients, and clients with impairments and brain injuries, as well as elite athletes, actors, and Hollywood luminaries.
Andrew holds numerous certifications in nutrition and exercise, and is a graduate of the four-year Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego. He holds a black belt in karate, and has been a top-five age-group finisher in many obstacle course races, including the 2022 DEKA World Championships.
He has authored or co-authored five books about fitness, including WEIGHT LOSS OVER 40, 7-MINUTE WORKOUTS, and YOUR NEW PRIME, as well as hundreds of fitness articles, notably for MEN’S HEALTH and EXPERIENCE LIFE, where several of his articles have won awards for excellence in journalism. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two children.
